This is the piece that started it all…Upon grieving the loss of my mother, listening to an extremely sad song, and while sobbing; I began to paint. The colors chosen were favorites of hers. I wrote a personal message to her and hid it by converting it into another language, so not to be noticed by others.
There are multiple layers with lots of gestural mark making using paints, inks & oil pastels.
This piece helped me to say the things I didn’t get to, before she passed. And it has been a crucial point in my healing, knowing that in the end, she is no longer suffering, and while I miss her greatly…I will be ok. From an old hymn we sang in church, It is well…

Print Process & Materials
All prints are made to order.
Canvas prints are printed on thick, archival grade polycotton canvas, carefully hand stretched over solid wood stretcher bars. A semi-glossy sheen printed on the canvas ensures durability. The canvas is pH neutral and acid-free so it will not yellow overtime.
All prints are printed on eco-solvent inkjet printers. These color accurate prints offer bright, vivid, and amazing colors that resist fading for over 100 years, which helps prints last for generations.
*Due to the color differences among devices, there may be slight color variation between what you see on screen and what the print looks like.

Framing Options
Black and white frame options are offered for both paper and canvas prints. All frames are expertly crafted from high quality wood and come with a hanging wire installed.
Framed canvas prints will be true to the dimensions ordered. They will have a 1.5-inch floating frame to fit the 1.5 inch stretched canvas, offering the canvas the illusion of floating inside of the frame.
